About

The newly formed Women's Art Series Connective - a group of gifted women writers, performers and visual artists - is presenting "Imperfect Balance: Women Before Us, Beside Us, Among Us", a year-long multi-disciplinary arts project. This year's theme explores the power and beauty of creating art out of trauma.

"We have named ourselves the Women's Art Series Connective (WASC)," says producer Jamie O'Reilly, "the key word being connective, as this project brings together gifted women cultural artists from a half-dozen creative disciplines, who individually have strong resumes, and together create a powerful impact!  It also taps into the resources available through individuals in the broader community of social activists, mental health professionals, educators, historians, arts and social program administrators, philanthropists, journalists and volunteers, many of whom attend our performances and listen to our CDs."
