Mission

Women's Art Series Connective's goal is to present and showcase professionally wrought, strong pieces of art and theater annually.

This year's art series "Imperfect Balance: Women Before Us, Beside Us, Among Us" explores the theme: Women, Art and Survival: The Power and Beauty of Making Art Out of Trauma.

Life's joys are often limited for women who experience trauma and/or are victims of mental illness and depression. Making art can provide a life raft in the storm. WASC's Imperfect Balance project serves as a vehicle to introduce and promote high quality visual art and theatre, to serve as provocative examples of women who use creative expression as a way to process trauma. Both audience and participants are given an opportunity to be enlightened by the message and encouraged to manage their own traumatic experiences in a healing way.
